About Us

Once upon a time, three co-workers-turned-friends pondered what it would be like to make boring subjects come alive on the page. They dreamed of a (not-so-quiet) neighborhood called Storylark Road inhabited by unique and amusing animal characters. Through their journeys and storytelling, these neighbors would immerse readers in delightful adventures that would make education fun and help learning stick. And so, Storylark Road was born!

GRAPHIC DESIGN / ILLUSTRATION

A lifelong devotee of the art of pixels and design, Shanna Behrens loves bringing learning to life visually. She knew from a young age that graphic design, layout, and art was her dream career. She discovered a passion for education while working for All About Learning Press, a reading and spelling homeschool company. Being an animal-lover at heart, the idea of immersing kids in story-based learning through the voices of fun animal characters made her jump for joy.
